At Blue Coast, we believe that design has the power to help bring awareness not to just businesses, but also to critical societal issues. We are honored to share our ongoing partnership with the Center for Domestic Peace (C4DP), a vital force in combatting domestic violence in our local community.
C4DP's vision is one in which domestic violence, abuse, and intimidation is replaced with domestic peace. Through educational programs and services, C4DP engages the community to foster a world of greater safety, justice, and equality.
Unfortunately, there are many forms of domestic violence - physical, mental, racial, financial, coercive - just to name a few. The impact is broad and goes beyond the stereotypes that we have been taught through traditional media, effecting far more individuals than we realize. Our introduction to C4DP was through a good friend and colleague - in the prime of a highly successful career, wise, extremely capable, independent and confident. This person began dating someone that surprised everyone by ending in a violent attack - and used C4DP for support, legal guidance and facilitation of the complex steps that come after such a terrifying incident.
Their involvement with C4DP inspired them to offer their own professional skills to help with C4DP's communication efforts. As friends and colleagues, Blue Coast was proud to also join the cause and help use our unique skillset to support C4DP's mission.
For the past several years, we've collaborated with C4DP, leveraging our expertise to amplify their message and drive change.
As donations to non-profits dwindled during the pandemic and cases of domestic violence increased, C4DP recognized the pressing need to revitalize their fundraising efforts and raise awareness. Their message and visuals were overused and lacked impact.
Together with our colleague, we embarked on a mission to re-imagine their fundraising campaigns, infusing them with a sense of urgency, empathy, and determination. By shifting the visual tone and crafting emotionally resonant ads, we aimed to spark conversation, inspire action, and galvanize support for freedom from domestic violence.
Feedback on the campaigns was unanimously positive. Our partnership with C4DP remains ongoing, and we continue with our dedication to creating memorable creative campaigns each season, to help support the amazing work that C4DP is doing for Marin County.
